Crit is an AI-powered design feedback platform built for designers who want to improve faster. The platform combines instant AI analysis with peer validation from real designers, giving structured, actionable feedback on UI/UX work. Built from zero; brand, design system, landing page, dashboard, and live product.

Problem
Most feedback designers receive is vague, slow, or biased. Posting on Dribbble gets likes but no real insights. Asking friends gives subjective opinions. Discord feedback is inconsistent and scattered.
For a designer trying to grow, the feedback ecosystem is broken. Without structured, specific feedback it's nearly impossible to know what's actually working in a design and what needs to change. Iteration becomes guesswork instead of progress.
Pain Points
• No platform existed that combined AI speed with human judgment
• Feedback from communities lacked structure and categories
• Designers had no way to track improvement across versions
• Generic feedback helped nobody grow faster

Insights
To understand the feedback gap, I reviewed how designers currently get feedback, Dribbble comments, Behance reviews, Discord servers, and direct peer critique. The goal was to understand what creates friction, what gets ignored, and where the real value of feedback is lost.
Rather than building another comment system, the focus was on identifying what structured, specific, and actionable feedback actually looks like and how to deliver it at scale.
Key Insights
• Designers trust peer feedback more than AI alone, human validation matters
• Structured categories, hierarchy, contrast, spacing, make feedback immediately actionable
• Designers want to see improvement over time, not just one-off comments

Solution & Design
Crit was designed to deliver structured AI feedback instantly, validated by real designers. The platform needed to feel like a professional tool, not a community forum, so every design decision prioritized clarity, speed, and trust.
The goal was to balance AI precision with human context, ensuring feedback was both fast and meaningful, while keeping the interface minimal and focused on the designer's work.
Design Decisions
• Minimal dashboard, upload area as the hero, feedback as the outcome
• Dark tool-like aesthetic, feels professional, reduces distraction from uploaded designs
• Three feedback dimensions, Overall Score, AI Score, Peer Rating, give complete picture
• Color system with yellow accent, used only for critical information and CTAs

Impact
Shipping a Real Product, Not Just a Design

Crit went from an idea to a live Framer website with a real waitlist. The design process covered brand identity, full design system, responsive landing page across desktop, tablet, and mobile, and a functional dashboard interface.
By combining AI feedback logic with peer validation thinking, the platform solves a real problem designers face daily. The waitlist form collects real emails from designers interested in early access, validating the product before a single line of backend code is written.
The responsive design ensures a consistent experience across all devices, and the Figma file documents every design decision from research to final pixel.
